BROOKHAVEN — Services for Johnnie “Jewel” Martin, 91, who died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017, at Diversicare Nursing Home in Brookhaven, will be noon Saturday at Union Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Riverwood Family Funeral Services.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Martin was born June 18, 1926, the daughter of Willie Ellis Daniel Martin and Mollie Mary Jane Williamson Martin.

She was a member of Union Baptist Church, homemaker and bookkeeper for a number retail stores. She enjoyed quilting and painting.

Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jesse Martin and Estus “Shine” Martin; and four sisters, Myrtis Allen, Delores Thames, Elvis Sartin and Melva Boyte.

Survivors include her husband, Felda Collins Martin; one son, Randy Sherrod Kenner and wife, Stacy, of Brandon; one daughter, Sandra Kay Martin Hugg and husband, David, of Atlanta, Texas; five grandchildren, Kimberly Kenner Doster, Mindy Kenner Becker, Kristina Seyfarth, Josh Champion, Megan Champion Corkern; and eight great-grandchildren.
