The shooting occurred at a house in the 100 block of Cedar Street about 9:30 p.m., he said.

Brookhaven Police Department received a call of shots being fired. While enroute to the scene, King’s Daughters Medical Center personnel reported a female had come to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Officers at the home on Cedar Street found a male subject who had also been shot. Both have been taken to University of Mississippi Medical Center.

“It started with some kind of domestic dispute,” Collins said.

Police said they have no additional suspects in the shooting. The incident remains under investigation by BPD.
