NATCHEZ — Services for Josephine Jones, 79, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Meadville, will be noon Saturday at New Hope-The Vision Center with the Rev. Edward Lee Jones officiating.

Burial will follow at Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Natchez Chapel and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Ms. Jones was born Sept. 18, 1938, in Natchez, the daughter of Alfred and Sylena Jones.

She served on the mother board of the church.

Ms. Jones was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Sylena Mae Jones; and three brothers, Alfred Jones Jr., Jessie Jones and Larry Jones.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty Roberts and husband, James, of Stone Mountain, Ga., and Celia Minor and husband, the Rev. Matthew Minor, of Natchez; four sons, Carrell Jones and wife, Wanza, of Washington, Edward Jones of San Antonio, Texas, Johnny Jones and wife, Andrea, and Joseph Jones of Natchez; 28 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Annie Jackson and husband, Leroy, Ruby Allen and husband, Jerry, and Maple Campbell, all of Natchez, and Katherine Shelby of Baltimore; five brothers, Charles Jones, James Jones and wife, Cheryl, Johnny Jones and wife, Mandy, and Robert Jones and wife, Janice, all of Natchez, and Donnell Ross and wife, Shelia, of Hammond, Ind.; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends, Inetta Givins and Irene Bacon.
