NATCHEZ — Services for Ethel Lene “Molly” Green, 68, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Chapel Church No. 2, with the Rev. Walter L. Smith Sr. officiating.   

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home with a celebration of life wake service at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mrs. Green was born Jan. 28, 1949, in Woodville, the daughter of John Smith Sr. and Alene McFarland Smith.

She was a graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School and was retired from the Isle of Capri.

Mrs. Green was Methodist and a member of Zion Chapel Church No. 2 and served on the mother’s board.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, John Smith Jr.; two nephews, Randy Jackson and Anthony Green; three sisters-in-law, Celestine Butler, Louise Gaines and Deloris Edwards; and two brothers-in-law, Mark Butler and John Edwards.

Survivors include her loving husband of 48 years, Clarence Green; one daughter, Jacqueline L. Green; one grandson, who she loved and cherished, Preston Clarence Green Anderson; 11 siblings, Audrey Rideaux, Maggie Miller, Janie Washington, Joyce Brengettsy and husband, Authur, Georgetta Sanders and husband, Dennis, Stella Edwards, Leroy Smith, Theresa Howland and husband, Bill, Robert Smith and wife, Connie, Selvin Smith and wife, Lisa, and Pamela Peteet and husband, James; three aunts, Estelle Harris, Frances Palmer and Dora Anderson; five sisters-in-law, Marie Conner, Bonnie Hatfield and husband, Anthony, Jellena Ivory Johnson and husband, Randolph, Shirley Dawson and husband, Authur, and Mamie White; three brothers-in-law, Luke Green, James Green and Hollis Green Jr. and wife, Laura; and a number of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
