VIDALIA — A Vidalia man died in a house fire Monday morning.
Vidalia Fire Chief Johnny Evans said the cause of the fire is not yet known, and the body of the man will be sent to Concordia Funeral Home to determine the cause of death.
The fire department was called to the scene at just after 10 a.m., where the 511 Spruce St., resdidence was engulfed in flames.
Evans said the owner of the home, the deceased’s mother, is currently in Chicago with her daughter because of an illness.
