NATCHEZ — Services for Kelvin Cardell “Catfish” Hutchins, 45, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at Alexandria Medical Center in Alexandria, La., will be 11 a.m. Saturday at True Bible Way Apostolic Church with the Rev. Freddie Parker officiating.

Burial will follow at Southwood Lodge Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. today with a celebration of life service at 6 p.m.

Visitation will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mr. Hutchins was born April 26, 1972, in Natchez, the son of Willie Jones and Sharon Hutchins. He was a graduate of South Natchez High School. He was employed as an independent contractor for the DISH Network.

Kelvin was affiliated with the Apostolic faith. He enjoyed traveling, car racing and loved to watch Sci-Fi. He was a big fan of “Star Trek.”

Kelvin was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Reginald Hutchins; and one niece, Keyouncé Hutchins.

Survivors include three brothers, Willie Hutchins and Marquis Hutchins, both of Natchez, and Demond Hutchins and wife, Trina, of Fate, Texas; five sisters, Morrisa Hutchins, Shameka Hutchins, Evelyn Hutchins and husband, David, Kimberly Hutchins and husband Johnell, and Whitney Hutchins, all of Natchez, and Carolyn Fleming of Jackson; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
