Ferriday — At least three juveniles allegedly broke into the boys’ locker room Tuesday at Delta Charter School and stole players’ belongings during a basketball game.

Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief David Hedrick said three arrests are pending following the recovery of stolen goods at a basketball game.

Jimmy Comeaux, principal of Delta Charter’s junior high and high school, said the intruders stole three iPhones, an Apple watch, cash and Beats headphones during the first half of the Tuesday night game against Ouachita Christian School.

“When they went back during half time, they realized their stuff had been rifled through and things were missing,” Comeaux said.

The door to the locker room is normally locked, Comeaux said, and he is unsure how the intruder entered.

“Maybe someone left the door not completely shut. We’re not sure,” he said.

Comeaux said several security cameras are located outside the locker room door and the intruders had been caught on tape.

“I got them on five different cameras,” Comeaux said.

Hedrick said a majority of the stolen property has been recovered and that officers were still investigating the case as of Thursday afternoon.

The three individuals suspected in the robbery are juveniles; Hedrick said he would not release any names or identifying information about them.
