Arrangements were under the direction of Louisiana Funeral Services and Crematory in Broussard, La.

Mrs. Spurlock was born Sept. 17, 1941, in Natchez, the daughter of Jesse B. Cross and Emma Trindle Cross.

Eachie was a Christian woman with strong faith. She was smart, loving, selfless and had a great sense of humor. She loved her children, grandchildren and fur babies with all her heart. She was happiest when she was cooking for her family and bragging about her great-grandchildren whom she affectionately referred to as “Mawmaw’s hearts.”

She taught her children and grandchildren about unwavering love, forgiveness and the unbreakable bond of family. Though she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, the memories she left behind will last a lifetime.

Mrs. Spurlock was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Jo Ann Cross and Nita Louise Knighten.

Survivors include two daughters, Geri Dean Richardson Russell and Jamie Jo Vance Blunschi; one granddaughter, Amber Faye Russell; one grandson, Randy Wayne Russell and wife, Pam; and two great-grandsons, Grant and Gunner.
