CLAYTON — Services for Kendrell L. Watkins, 39, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, at his residence, will be noon Saturday at St. Mark Baptist Church in Clayton with the Rev. Danny Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow at St. James Church Cemetery in Frogmore, under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Watkins was born Jan. 31, 1979, in Natchez, the son of Willie James Watkins Sr. and Diane Harden Dickerson.

He was employed by LaSalle Community Action as a carpenter.

Kendrell was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Willie James “June” Watkins Jr.

Survivors include his mother, Diane, of Ferriday; two daughters, Ikena H. Watkins and Genesis Lawrence of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Erique Harden of Baton Rouge and Thaddeus Hamilton and wife, Karen, of Arkansas; five sisters, Anya Morgan and husband, Andre, of Houston, Alician Hamilton of Monroe, La., Lynette Glasper and Frankie Powell, both of Ferriday, and Debra Watkins of Natchez; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Freeman of Ferriday; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
