FERRIDAY — Services for Philip Wayne Lushute, 67, of Lake St. John, who died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at his residence, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Young’s Funeral Home Ferriday Chapel.
Burial will follow at Monclova Cemetery in Waterproof under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Lushute was born July 28, 1950, in Ferriday, the son of Jewel Lushute and Maxine Roberts Lushute.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Philip was a welder and supervisor for Plains American with more than 44 years of service. He was also an avid deer hunter.
Mr. Lushute was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Linda Layfield Lushute; one son, John Philip Lushute and wife, Jennifer, of Lake St. John; one daughter, Linda Annalee Lushute of Waterproof; one brother, Julian Lashute and wife, Carolyn, of Ferriday; and two sisters, Sharon Landrum and Martha Lashute, both of Vidalia.
Pallbearers will be co-workers of Plains American.
