Tommie was a hardworking man, a loving friend, and devoted father. He was an incredibly talented musician who learned to play the piano at the age of 2. Singing, playing the piano and entertaining a crowd was his passion. He worked in a number of areas of transportation — from owning a limousine company in Baton Rouge, driving tour buses and dispatching tank trucks nationwide. He lived a great life, fulfilling his dreams as a musician and having a family who he adored. Tommie never met a stranger. To know him was to love him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommie French Sr. and Beth French; one brother, Estus “Gene” Upton; and one brother-in-law, Tommy Sanders.

Survivors include two children, Tyler French and Taylor Hubbs; one grandson, Beau Hubbs; one sister, Teri Sanders; his former wife and friend, Terri Bayhi; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He will be sincerely missed by all who knew him. Friends and family are invited to attend the
services at Laird Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Tyler French, Shane Holmes, Gene Upton, Lamar Posey, JR Hausey and Joey Delhoste.
