Pilgrimage Garden Club announces 2018 royal court

NATCHEZ — The Pilgrimage Garden Club has announced its 2018 royal court. The court will serve the Pilgrimage Garden Club’s king and queen during their reign in the upcoming Spring Pilgrimage.
Maids
Wesley Katherine Anderson
Wesley is the daughter of Stephanie Anderson and Jim and Ashley Anderson. She is a 2015 graduate of Cathedral High School. She is the granddaughter of Tommy and the late Nancy Smith and Irvin and Leigh Anderson all of Natchez.
Wesley is a graduate of the Aveda Institute of Baton Rouge. Upon graduation she worked at Via Veneto Salon in Baton Rouge and is now working at C’est Jolie Salon in Natchez.
Her hobbies include hanging out with friends, traveling, hair and make up and spending time with her six sisters.
Previous participation includes, Big Maypole, the Wedding of Jefferson Davis to Varina Howell and Showboat.
Saxon Junkin Ballard
Saxon is the daughter of John (PGC King 1884) and Melinda Ballard and a 2015 graduate of the Harrison School for the Arts in Lakeland, Fla. She is the granddaughter of the late Basil and Sallie Junkin Ballard of Natchez, Mr. and Mrs. Rayford Aguillard of Lake Charles, La., and Patricia Aguillard of Lake Charles.
Saxon is currently attending Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, where she is majoring in dance. She was the Alpha Tau Omega Sweetheart and represented SHSU in Lucia, Italy, for the summer of 2017 at Dance Italia, and has performed professionally in Houston and Tampa, Fla. She has had the privilege of studying alongside the Kansas City Ballet and Los Angeles Ballet professional dance companies.
Her hobbies include dance, visiting Natchez and lake sports.
Previous participation includes Little Maypole, Page to Queen Anne Harriss in 2004, Big Maypole, Picnic and Showboat.
Kayla Louise Cauthen
Kayla is the daughter of David and Gina Cauthen and a 2015 graduate of Cathedral High School. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Junkin of Natchez and Mr. Bobby Cauthen and the late Pam Cauthen of Natchez.
Kayla is currently attending Mississippi State University where she is majoring in art.
She is a member of Delta Gamma Sorority, St. Mary’s Basilica in Natchez and is a dedicated volunteer with the Cathedral High School Homecoming Festivities. While at Cathedral High School she was the 2014 Homecoming Queen.
Her hobbies include painting, photography, MSU football and baseball, hanging out at the family hunting camp, snow skiing, visiting with friends and water sports at Lake St. John.
Previous participation includes Little Maypole, Polka Favor Girl and Big Maypole.
Carrie LeGette Gammon
Carrie is the daughter of Tracy Hall Gammon and a 2014 graduate of Newsome High School in Lithia, Fla. She is the granddaughter of Caroline Wheeler Doughty of Natchez and Darius Hall of Decatur, Ala.
Carrie is currently attending Mississippi State University where she is majoring in kinesiology with a concentration in clinical exercise.
She is a member of Delta Gamma Sorority, Maroon VIP Tour Services, Athletic Ambassador for MSU, is a senator for the College of Education, a member of The Student Association Committee, the President’s List and was MSU Freshman Homecoming Maid.
Her hobbies include dancing, spending time with family, Camp Able and cheering on the MSU Bulldogs.
Margaret Josephine Kelley
Maggie is the daughter of Chris and Jodi Kelley and a 2015 graduate of Cathedral High School.
She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Brown of Natchez and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Kelley of Olive Branch.
Maggie is currently attending Ole Miss where she is majoring in communications science disorders with a minor in linguistics. She is a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority, Gamma Beta Phi Society, the Ole Miss (American Sign Language) Hand Band, the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association and on the Chancellor’s List.
Her hobbies include painting, drawing, exercising, watching movies and traveling.

Acenith Ann Mullins
Cena is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Gardner and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Mullins and a 2015 graduate of Trinity Episcopal Day School.
She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James P. Mullins of Natchez, Mrs. Ethel Miller of Grand Junction, Colo., and the Late Mr. Harold I. Miller.
Cena is currently attending Mississippi State University and Gulf Coast Community College where she is majoring in pre-Nursing. She is a member of Delta Gamma Sorority.
Her hobbies include fitness, skiing, cooking, traveling, reading, spending time in Colorado and hanging out with friends and family.

Angelica Dania Nunez
Dania is the daughter of Myrna Nunez and Ignacio Nuzez and she is a 2015 graduate of Cathedral High School.
She is the granddaughter of Martina and Melquiades Nunez of Iguala, Guerro Mexico and the late Elda and Margarito Zenil of Gonzales, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
Dania is currently attending Ole Miss where she is majoring in integrated marketing communications. She is a provost scholar, a member of the Feminist Organization and the Latin American Society.
Her hobbies include yoga, running, traveling, art, fashion, photography and volunteering.
Previous participation includes Can Can Dancer and Fanny Elssler from Showboat.
Carmen Franchesca St. Clair
Carmen is the daughter of Fred St. Clair and Maureen E. Radzewicz. She is a 2015 graduate of Trinity Episcopal Day School.
She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ethel Radzewicz and the late Mr. Paul A. Radzewicz and Mr. Fred W. St. Clair, Sr. and the late Helen A. St. Clair.
Carmen is currently attending Ole Miss where she is majoring in managerial finance. She is a member of Phi Mu Sorority, serves on the Phi Mu public relations committee and Ole Miss College Republicans.
Her hobbies include piano and guitar.

Chandler Renee Russ
Chandler is the daughter of Mr. Kurt and Dr. Jennifer Russ and is a 2015 graduate of Cathedral High School.
She is the granddaughter of the late Bobby and Suzi Russ of Natchez and Tommy and Judy Vermaelen of Alexandria, La.
Chandler is currently attending the University of Southern Mississippi where she is majoring in kinesiology. She is a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority where she is sponsor and Bid Day chairman, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, American Medical Student Association, the Exercise Science Club and on the USM Dean’s List.
Her hobbies include hunting with her dad, running, raising money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and spending time with her sister, Annie.

Mackenzie Amelia Watts
Mackenzie is the daughter of Henry and Kirby Dillingham Watts. She is a 2015 graduate of Cathedral High School.
She is the granddaughter of the late Kirby and Edith Dillingham and the late Emma Dillard.
Mackenzie is currently attending the University of Louisiana in Monroe where she is majoring in speech pathology. She is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association.
Her hobbies included dancing, tennis, horseback riding and swimming. She has been a life guard at the Stanton Hall pool for the past six years.

GENERALS
Charles Eugene Brakenridge, III
Chase is the son of Charles and Georgeanne Brakenridge, Jr. of Ferriday and a 2014 graduate of Cathedral High School.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Evan Lansing Kolb of Alexandria, La., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Eugene Brakenridge, Sr. of Ferriday.
Chase is currently attending Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where he is majoring in international trade and finance. He is currently serving as the vice president of Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.
His hobbies include water skiing, swimming and watching LSU sports.

Dylan Ray Galbreath
Dylan is the son of Scott Galbreath III and Tonya S. Eason and a 2014 graduate of Adams County Christian School.
He is the grandson of Edeen H. Galbreath and the late Scott Galbreath, Jr. of Natchez, Ray Skates of Vidalia and Sue Verucchi of Vidalia.
Dylan is a 2017 graduate of Co-Lin Community College in Natchez with a degree in automation and control technology. He played soccer, was the football kicker, tennis doubles, ran track, cross country, baseball and a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
His hobbies include hunting and salt water fishing. He is now working full time in the family business Old South Winery where he is an apprentice winemaker.
Jogene Shelton Hand III
Trey is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jogene Shelton Hand, Jr. and a 2015 graduate of Cathedral High School.
He is the grandson of Joe and Yancey Hand of Canton and Michael and Bonnie Richardson or Mooresville, N.C.
Trey is currently attending Ole Miss majoring in computer science and engineering. He is a member of Jefferson Street Methodist Church.
His hobbies include Ole Miss football, guitar, reading, snowboarding and spending time with his adopted rescue dog “Dee”.

Christian Gage Jenkins
Christian is the son of Kevin (PGC King 1989) and Cindy Jenkins and a 2015 graduate of Cathedral High School.
He is the grandson of Henry and Jean Ann Jenkins of Woodville, Betty Raymond Dossett of Natchez, Bertha Jones and the late Boyd Ray Jones of Monterey.
Christian is currently attending the University of Southern Mississippi where he is majoring in health care marketing. He is a founding member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity on the USM campus, voted Mr. Cathedral High School in 2015 and ran his first half marathon for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., in December 2017.
His hobbies include hunting, fishing and intramural sports.

William Douglas Lum III
Douglas is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Douglas Lum Jr. of Port Gibson. He is a 2016 graduate of Van Dorn Academy.
He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Douglas Lum Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Sim Dulaney Jr. all of Port Gibson.
Douglas is currently attending Hinds Community College and will transfer to Mississippi State University in the Fall of 2018 where he is majoring in mechanical engineering. He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, a Hinds Foundation Scholarship recipient and a member of the Baptist Student Union.
His hobbies include antique car restoration, boating, water skiing and all things mechanical.

Austin Wheeler Parker
Austin is the son of Wheeler (PGC King 1981) and Ashley Watters Parker of Madison. He is a 2014 graduate of Madison Central High School in Madison.
He is the grandson of Kit Parker and the late Joseph Parker of Natchez and Betty and Walker Watters of Jackson.
Austin is currently attending Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where he is majoring in marketing with a concentration in professional sales. He is a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, the National Society of Leadership and Success and a member of St. Albans Episcopal Church.
His hobbies include traveling, boxing, hiking, swimming water sports and attending LSU football games.
William Lawrence Sandel
Will is the son of Henry “Adrian” (PGC King 1987) III and Lisa Sandel. He is a 2015 graduate of Cathedral High School.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Sandel, Jr. Dixon, Calif., Katie Adams Watson, Natchez, Mr. William Watson, St. Joseph, La., Dr. and Mrs. Edward Gaudet, Natchez and Marie D’Antoni Gross, Metairie, La.
Will is currently attending Ole Miss where he is majoring in civil engineering. He is a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity, Ole Miss Greek Recruitment and a counselor and life guard at Camp Ozark in Mount Ida, Ark.
His hobbies include snow skiing, hunting and attending Ole Miss sporting events.

Ryan Anthony Strong
Ryan is the son of David Anthony “Tony” Strong and Stacey Copeland-Strong. He is a 2014 graduate of Adams County Christian School.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Billie Joe Strong of Natchez and Mr. and Mrs. Hyram Copeland of Vidalia.
Ryan is currently attending Ole Miss where he is majoring in history and education. He was voted Best Defensive Player for the 2011/2012, Coach’s Award 2012/2013, All District 5AA 2012/2013, Team Captain 2013/2014 and MAIS Basketball All-Star 2013/2014.
His hobbies include all sports and hanging out with friends.

Joseph Turner “Jay” Vaughan
Jay is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Vaughan of Ferriday and a 2015 valedictorian graduate of Cathedral High School.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Al Vaughan of Ferriday and Mr. Ray Turner and the late Joyce Turner of Collierville, Tenn.
Jay is currently attending Ole Miss where he is majoring in chemistry with a minor in math. He is a member of the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College, a provost scholar, a member of Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society, Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society and Phi Kappa Tau Social Fraternity. He also received the distinction of being an Eagle Scout.
His hobbies include running and watching Ole Miss sports.

Joseph Alexander Weadock
Alex is the son of Ashley and Rosemary Weadock of Natchez and a 2015 graduate of Cathedral High School.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Foley, Mr. Donald Weadock and Ms. Dorothy Weadock all of Natchez.
Alex is currently attending Ole Miss where he is majoring in psychology with a minor in business management.
His hobbies include playing basketball and watching LSU sports.

Walker Hyde Carby
Walker is the son of E. Hyde (PGC King 2001) and Lee Carby of Natchez. He is a ninth generation Natchezian.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Carby of Natchez and Mr. and Mrs. Mike P. Sturdivant, III of Itta Bena. He is the great grandson of Mrs. Hyde Dunbar Jenkins and the late Hyde Jenkins of Natchez and Mrs. Mike P. Sturdivant of Glendora.
Walker is currently in kindergarten at Cathedral Elementary School and is little brother to Jane.
His hobbies include soccer, tennis, swimming, catching frogs, laughing and “cutting a rug” on the dance floor.

Macy Elizabeth Carter
Macy is the daughter of Mark (PGC King 2006) and Jessica Carter of Vidalia, LA.
She is the granddaughter of the Mark and Mary Ann Carter of Vidalia and Enrique and Anita Llewellyn of Muscle Shoals, Ala.
Macy is currently in kindergarten at Cathedral Elementary School, and a member of St. Mary’s Basilica.
Her hobbies include ballet, pottery, singing, spending time with her family traveling and playing with her friends.

James David Gammill III
James is the son of David (PGC King 2004) and Devin Gammill of Natchez, MS.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Gammill and Rebecca Pace Nelson all of Natchez.
James is currently in first grade at Cathedral Elementary School and plays basketball and tennis.
His hobbies include swimming, hunting, fishing, camping out at China Grove and learning new jokes to tell all his friends.

Mary Blair Johnson
Mary Blair is the daughter of Forrest and Julie Johnson of Natchez.
She is the granddaughter of Debbi and Forrest “Al” Johnson Jr. of Natchez and Judy and Rick Manning of Pine Bluff, Ark.
Mary Blair is currently in kindergarten at Cathedral Elementary School.
Her hobbies include ballet, soccer, art and playing outdoors.
