Richard Tricou Logan Sr.

NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Richard Tricou Logan Sr., 86, who died Thursday, March 1, 2018, in Vicksburg, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Assumption Catholic Church under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday.
Mr. Logan was born on September 28, 1931, in Natchez, the son of Dr. and Mrs. J. G. Logan.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in North Carolina. He attended Mississippi State University on his GI bill and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Mr. Logan then went to work with the highway department.
In 1969, he went into business for himself. He owned and operated Logan Engineering Company for 49 years, including six years as county engineer for Claiborne and Wilkinson counties. He surveyed and engineered over 4,000 projects in Mississippi and Louisiana, to include such notable projects as the Natchez Mall, the water tower in Woodville, extension of Natchez sewer line, numerous roads and bridges and subdivisions.
Mr. Logan helped establish the Dixie Riding Club and served as president or member for several years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Clifford Logan.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Patsy Logan; two sons, Richard Logan Jr. and wife, Elizabeth K., and Joseph Gregory and wife, Veronica; two daughters, Bonnie Anne Junkin and husband, Rick, and Deborah Anne Tomaine and husband, Dale Chatagnier; six grandsons, Logan Owens, Delton Logan, Cody Brown, Joseph Logan Jr., Samuel Logan and Mark Anthony Logan; seven granddaughters, Jackie Milstead and husband, Michael, Annie Megan Logan, Tori Tomaine, Victoria Logan, Sarah Logan, Elena Logan and Gabriella Logan; two great grandsons, Connor Owens and Gunner Milstead; two brothers, George Logan and Michael Logan; and five sisters, Joan Cowart, Carol Segrest, Margie Baxter, Susan Nowell and Betty Kate Courtney.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Honorary Pallbearers will be George Logan, Michael Logan, Danny Ellington and Travis Ellington.
