PHILADELPHIA — Services for William Oscar “Bill” Brantley Jr., 63, of Philadelphia, who died Monday, March 5, 2108, at his residence, will be 3 p.m. today at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Michael Wells officiating.
Burial will follow at Cooks Chapel Cemetery in Neshoba County under the direction of McClain-Hays Funeral Service in Philadelphia.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mr. Brantley was born June 8, 1954, in Neshoba County, the son of Bobby and Dot Brantley.
He graduated from high school in Meridian and joined the U.S. Marine Corps shortly thereafter. He served 12 years in the in the Marines, including the Vietnam War. After military service, he was employed by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in radar/aircraft communications.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ricky Brantley
Survivors include two daughters, Stacey Brantley of Philadelphia and Christy Brantley and husband, Raeford, of North Carolina; one son, Scott Brantley and wife, Reneé, of Kosciusko; two grandchildren, Gunter and Holden Brantley; one brother, Doug Brantley of Natchez; one nephew, Taylor Brantley; and one niece, Cassie Brantley.
