NATCHEZ — The forecasted crest of the Mississippi River at the Natchez gauge has been revised downward to 57 feet.

National Weather Service forecasters predict the river will crest at 57 feet on Saturday. Previously the crest was forecast to reach 57.2 feet on Monday.

At 10 a.m., the river level was at 56.86 feet, an increase of .12 feet in the last 24-hours.
