NATCHEZ — Services for Cordell James Washington, 63, of Minneapolis, Minn., formerly of Natchez, who died Thursday, March 8, 2018, in Minneapolis, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. James Lee officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Visitation will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mr. Washington was born Jan. 8, 1955, in Natchez, the son of Thomas James Washington and Carlotta Bacon Washington.
He was a graduate of the Natchez-Adams School District and went on to attend college.
He was employed by the City of Minneapolis Water Department.
Cornell was a member of the plumber’s association. He enjoyed photography, music and singing.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Charles D. Washington.
Survivors include his mother; three sisters, Earnestine Woods and husband, Leonard, Cynthia Pittmon and Deirdrea Hardge; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
