FERRIDAY — Services for Billy Malcom “Mack” Smith, 85, who died Saturday, March 17, 2018, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Westside Baptist Church in Ferriday.

A private burial will be at a later date at Roger’s Cemetery in Clayton.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Thursday at the church.

Mr. Smith was born Aug. 17, 1932.  He served in the U.S. Army as a sharp shooter in the Korean Conflict. He spent his adult life working in the oil field. He also served on Concordia Parish Fire Board.

Mack will be remembered as a workaholic.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita; six children from a previous marriage; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
