FERRIDAY — Services for Alberta Martin Shorter, 63, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Heritage Manor Health and Rehab in Ferriday, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Kingdom Living Ministries, 203 Doty Road in Ferriday, with the Rev. Kelly Anderson officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Shorter was born July 7, 1954, in Ferriday, the daughter of Clarence Martin Sr. and Alberta Richardson Martin.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include three sons, Terry Lee Martin and wife, Nicole, of Houston, Andrew Martin and wife, Cynthia, of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Johnny Martin of Natchitoches, La.; two daughters, Linda M. Hillard and husband, Albert, of Pine Bluff, and Alma Anderson and husband, the Rev. Kelly Anderson, of Aurora, Colo.; four brothers, Clarence Martin Jr. of Foules, La., Thomas Martin of Huntsville, Texas, Robert Martin of Ferriday and Willie Martin of Waterproof; three sisters, Mary Ann Knoten of Clayton, Sherry Ann Banks and Diane Martin, both of Ferriday; 15 grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
