FOULES, La. — Services for Richard “Scotty” McLain, 57, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, April 11, 2018, in Clayton, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Sunnyside Church in Foules, La., with the Rev. Jerry Sharp officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from noon until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. McLain was born Nov. 19, 1960, in Ferriday, the son of Enoch Eugene McLain and Willie Coates McLain.
He was a lifelong farmer.
Mr. McLain was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Enoch Eugene McLain Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Shelia Crooks McLain; one brother, Jerry McLain and wife, Sandra, of Ferriday; three sisters, Judy McLain Spencer of Broussard, La., Jan McLain of Ferriday and Susan Wickman of Marietta, Ga.; stepson, Brent Brazzell of Natchez; stepdaughter, Rae Ann Cockerham of Ferriday; three step-grandchildren, Holly, Heidi and Taylor; two nieces, Kelley and Laurel; and three nephews, Matthew, Brent and Aaron.
He also leaves his beloved cat, Annie.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Rhodes, Jack Little, Kenny Blaney, Charlie Adams, David Eames, Ronnie Hill, Tim White and Doug Cavin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Louis White, Rosevelt Clark and Robert Thompson.
Memorial may be made to Concordia Paws in Ferriday.
