NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Opal Marie Meche, 83, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Camelot Leisure Living, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Cullum and the Rev. Glenn Harrigill officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Meche was born Feb. 21, 1935, in Columbia, La., the daughter of James Edgar Williams and Hester Irene Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Darrel Meche; four brothers; and six sisters.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, John Meche of Ridgecrest; one son, Eddie Meche and wife, Janet, of Sunset, La.; one daughter, Laurie Skates and husband, Ray, of Vidalia; seven granddaughters, Kelly Kimball and husband, Donnie, and Dena Jackson and husband, James, all of Vidalia, Aubie LaSyone of Greenwell Springs, La., Stephanie Grossie of Henderson, La., Abbie Temple and husband, Josh, of Pineville, La., Cara Meche of Sunset and Jessica Meche of Baton Rouge; and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Nasif Gardner, Donnie Kimball, Steve Williams, James Cowan, Lynn Delaney and Wayne Coyle.
