NATCHEZ — Services for Henry Lee Winston, 78, of Natchez, who died Saturday, May 19, 2018, in Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at George F. West Sr. Memorial Chapel, West Gate Funeral Home, with the Rev. Cartrell Smith officiating.    

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3:30 to 5:30 today and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Winston was born Nov. 4, 1939, in Natchez, the son of Lee Winston and Maggie Mae Winston.

He was a graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School and was retired from the Natchez Police Department. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 4885. Henry enjoyed fishing, sports and watching westerns.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Laura Winston.

Survivors include two sons, Ernest Chatman and wife, Erica, and Gregory Green and wife, Mimi; one daughter, Maggie Winston and husband, Dustin; 10 grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
