FERRIDAY — Services for Mavis Pauline Brownell, 66, of Wylie, Texas, who died Friday, June 1, 2018, at her residence, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home Ferriday Chapel with the Rev. Mary Jackson officiating.       

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Brownell was born July 27, 1951, in Winnsboro, La., the daughter of Clifton Leon Brownell Sr. and Minnie Lee Jordan Brownell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jerry Wayne Brownell and Allen Wade Brownell; and one sister, Barbara Ann Tucker.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Tolbert III and Jonathan Heath Tolbert and wife, Carol Jean, all of Irving, Texas; one daughter, Nicole Brownell and husband, Alex Perez, of Dallas; two brothers, Clifton Leon Brownell Jr. and wife, Wendy, and Alfred Charles Brownell, all of Ridgecrest; six sisters, Dianne Brown of Natchez, Mary Elizabeth Jackson and husband, Bill, of Fort Worth, Texas, Delores Holland and husband, Wayne, of Monterey, Shelia Christiansen of Harrisonburg, Sylvia Brownell of Vidalia, and Kathy Craig and husband, Wade, of Natchez; five grandchildren, Gwenivere Kenzie Perez, Ashellie Tolbert, Felicia Fena DeLeon, Trevor Austin Smith and Skylar Dwzeiza; and two great-grandchildren.
