NATCHEZ — Services for Irene “Babe” Bailey Watkins Edwards, 91, of Natchez, who died Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Glenburney Nursing Home, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Greater St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. Dandridge Brooks officiating.   

Burial will follow at Elgin Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Edwards was the daughter of George Bailey and Gertrude Dotery Bailey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Bertha Bailey; and half-sister, Eloise Dobbins.

Survivors include two daughters, Irene Watkins and Marilyn Watkins; stepdaughter, Lucille Grinnell; three grandchildren, Zachary Watkins, Annie Watkins and Linda Watkins; one great-grandchild; one nephew, Larry Bailey; and other relatives and friends.
