FERRIDAY — Memorial services for Horace “Lee” Garretson, 83, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, June 17, 2018, at Riverland Medical Center, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Ledford officiating.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Garretson was born Oct. 25, 1934, in Killarney, W.Va., the son of Beecher Garretson and Maggie Comes Garretson.

Mr. Garretson was a Baptist and a 32nd degree Mason of the Vidalia Lodge and a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders.

He loved hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles with his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Garretson was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Theodore and Jack Garretson.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Fay Garretson; one son, Mike Garretson and wife, Cindy, of Vidalia; one grandson, Quentien Garretson and wife, Cristy, of Vidalia; one granddaughter, Michelle Olds and husband, Jonathan, of Waterproof; eight great-grandchildren; one brother; and two sisters.
