NATCHEZ — A routine traffic stop at 3:30 p.m. Thursday netted 9 grams of packaged methamphetamine, 3 grams of marijuana and two arrests Friday morning, Adams County Sheriff’s Office deputies said.

Heavy Enforcement Anti-crime Team agent Luke Brumfield made the traffic stop of a vehicle being driven by Bradley Welch, and discovered Welch had active indictments, officials said.

Brumfield also discovered Welch was out on bond for charges of sale of schedule II methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, sheriff’s officials said.

A search of the vehicle uncovered 9 grams of packaged methamphetamine, 3 grams of marijuana, Brumfield said.

Welch, along with passenger, Rayshon Hawkins, were arrested and charged with possession of schedule II drugs — methamphetamine — with intent to deliver and possession of marijuana.
