NATCHEZ — Services for Ferdinand Ludvic “Ferdie” Passbach Jr., 76, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. David O’Connor and the Rev. Joseph Xavier officiating.
Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Mr. Passbach was born Nov. 21, 1941, in Natchez, the son of Ferdinand Ludvic Passbach Sr. and Camille Brown Passbach.
He was a member of St. Mary Basilica and Assumption Catholic Church and also attended Our Lady of Lourdes. He served on the pastoral council at both St. Mary and Assumption churches, finance commission at Assumption Catholic Church, lector at both churches, mass coordinator at St. Mary Basilica, and altar server at Assumption. He was also a member of Mississippi Independent Business Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy McCrary Passbach; one daughter, Jackie Passbach and fiancé, Kenneth Beesley Jr. of Natchez; one sister, Mary Ruth Passbach Maier and husband, Freddie, of Natchez; two nephews, Ricky Maier and wife, Traci, and their daughter, Camille Rose Maier, of Choudrant, La., and Toby Maier and his children, William Maier and Sidney Maier of Natchez; and a number of very close cousins and their families and close friends.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Maier, Toby Maier, Randy Jordan, Ken Beesley Jr., Lee Best, Charles Garrity and Duke Eidt.
Honorary pallbearers will be Willie Brown, Jimmy Willard, Bob McWilliams and Freddie Maier.
Memorials may be made to Natchez Adams County Humane Society or to a charity of choice.
