ACCS dominates Presbyterian Christian for home win

Jakarius Caston accounted for three touchdowns — two on offense and one on defense — as the Adams County Christian School Rebels rolled to a 40-7 win over the Presbyterian Christian School Bobcats Friday night.
Caston had a 34-yard touchdown reception from Sterling Yarbrough and a 67-yard interception return for a score in the first quarter to go with a 79-yard TD run late in the third quarter. He ended with three catches for 55 yards and had four tackles on defense.
MAIS Class AAA ACCS jumped out to a 26-0 lead by the end of the first quarter. D.J. Stampley started the scoring barrage for the Rebels with a 5-yard touchdown run and Kemari Clark had a pick-six that went for 27 yards. Paul Cupstid’s 10-yard TD run with 4:12 in the second quarter gave them a 33-0 lead that they would take into halftime.
Class AAAA Presbyterian Christian ended the Rebels’ opportunity for a shutout win on Jake Sumrall’s 61-yard touchdown run with 6:41 remaining and with a running clock.
Yarbrough completed 12-of-21 passes for 155 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Yohan Thompson had three catches for 43 yards and Clark had two receptions for 33 yards.
Defensively, ACCS held the Bobcats to just 122 total yards and forced three turnovers. The unit was led by Stampley with eight tackles and Austin Blanton with seven tackles. In addition to his pick-six, Clark had three tackles and one sack. Tripp Cotten had one fumble recovery.
