The following schools and businesses have announced closures because of Tropical Storm Gordon:

• The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Natchez campus will close at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and will be closed all day Wednesday. The campus will reopen Thursday, weather permitting.
• Natchez Early College Academy on the Co-Lin campus will be closed Wednesday. All other Natchez-Adams School District schools will be open.
• Natchez National Historical Park will be closed Wednesday. Areas that will be closed include park administrative offices at the Natchez Visitor Center, the Melrose estate, the William Johnson House, and the Fort Rosalie site. Please obey all posted closures. Even once the storm passes, safety threats may remain in the form of downed trees, damaged limbs, and possible erosion impacts.

Sports activities cancellations:

• The Cathedral soccer game vs. Laurel Christian scheduled for Tuesday evening has been canceled. A make-up date has not yet been set.
• Tuesday’s swim meet hosted by Cathedral School has been canceled.
