FERRIDAY — Services for Malinda “Pug” Nations, 74, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, in Vidalia, will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Young’s Funeral Home Ferriday Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Mulvihill officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Nations was born March 25, 1944, in Bay Minette, Ala., the daughter of Elmer Smith and biological mother, Ola Jewell Lee Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Henry Nations Jr.; her father and his wife, Ella; her biological mother; and one sister, Sharron Wallace.
Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Nations Cooper; two sons, Gary Alvin Nations and Brian Keith Nations and fiancée, Alaina Bedson, all of Vidalia; six grandchildren, Kelsey Leake and fiancé, Travis Grace, Cody Leake and wife, Christine, Dakota Nations, Billie Nations and fiancé, Joseph Rollins, Nathan Nations and Kyle Nations; two great-grandchildren, Carter Leake and Maddox Leake; three brothers, Johnal Smith of Texas, Robert Smith and wife, Darlene, of Vidalia, and Billy Smith and wife, Nelda, of Arkansas; four sisters, Carolyn Chadwell of Oklahoma, Vickie Mann and husband, Kenny, of Pollock, La., Cindy Bruce and husband, Mark, of Vidalia, and Margaret Leake and husband, Cliff, of Alexandria, La.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dakota Nations, Nathan Nations, Cody Leake, Kyle Nations, Cody McClung, Kyle Coley, Tony Tolliver and Chazz Nelson.
