WISNER — Services for Charlie A. Martin Jr., 70, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018, in Bude, will be 2 p.m. Saturday in South Central Baptist Church in Wisner, with the Rev. Bobby Arnold and the Rev. Bubba Ezell officiating.
Burial will follow at Oakley Cemetery, in Gilbert, La., under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro, La.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the church.
Mr. Martin was born Oct. 9, 1948, in Baskin, La., the son of Charlie Albert Martin and Sybil Lebeaux Martin.
He attended Sunnyside Church.
He was employed by International Paper Company for 38 years. He also was employed by Kaiser Napa Auto Parts in Natchez. He was a mason and an avid outdoorsman.
Martin was preceded in death by his father; one brother, J.D. Martin; and one sister, Anne Arceneaux.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Martin; two sons, Brent Eugene Martin and Tommy Martin, both of Vidalia; two sisters, Tammy Howard of Hobbs, N.M., and Kathy Pruitt of Ridgecrest; special grandchildren Dregan Warshaw, Katy and Kalyn Hodges; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jason Bandy, Scott Bandy, Duke Campbell, Jeremy Campbell, Chris Cothern and Ryan McIntosh.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Perth Hunting Club, Sammy Butler, Larry Lawrence, Sonny Tarver and Bobby White.
