Hannan-Burns

Judge and Mrs. Edwin York Hannan of Madison, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Claire Hannan to Dr. Landon Tyler Burns, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Theophile Burns Jr., of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Madison-Ridgeland Academy and earned a Bachelor of Science in family and consumer sciences from the University of Mississippi in 2008. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health from Northeastern University in Boston, Mass. She serves as the assistant general manager of the Nantucket Yacht Club in Nantucket, Mass.

She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Bloodworth and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Owen Roberts Hannan Jr., all of Grenada.

The groom-to-be is a 2001 graduate of Trinity Episcopal Day School in Natchez. He received a Bachelor of Arts in history from Millsaps College in 2005 and his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2013. He completed an anesthesiology residency in Little Rock at the University of Arkansas for medical sciences in 2017, and a fellowship in interventional pain medicine at Emory University Medical Center in Atlanta the following year. Burns is employed by Ochsner Health Systems in Baton Rouge, where he practices interventional pain medicine.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Malcolm Carter of Woodville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Theophile Burns Sr. of Natchez.

The wedding will be Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at St. Mary Basilica in Natchez.  A reception will follow the ceremony at Stanton Hall. Formal invitations have been sent.
