DELHI, La. — Ske’Kayla Miller finished with a game-high 16 points and Zaniya Curry had 14 points to lead four Ferriday High School players in double figures as the Lady Trojans annihilated the Delhi Charter School Lady Gators 66-27 Tuesday night in an LHSAA District 2-2A game.

Actually, from Delhi Charter’s standpoint, it was not much of a game. The only thing left to figure out by the end of the third quarter was how many points the Lady Trojans would win by after leading by 39 points.

DELHI, La. — The Ferriday High School Trojans nearly rallied from a 12-point halftime deficit on the road against a good Delhi Charter School team, but the Gators managed to hold on for a 74-70 win Tuesday night in LHSAA District 2-2A action.

Led by Ladarius Houston and Cameron McDaniel, Delhi Charter (18-7, 7-1) took a 23-17 lead over Ferriday at the end of the first quarter and doubled its lead to 12 points, 43-31, by the time halftime rolled around.

But the Trojans would not go away quietly. With Jer’Lyric Brooks and Montrieze Sandage leading the way, they outscored the Gators 19-16 in the third quarter and 20-15 in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, the Trojans ran out of time and their comeback bid fell just a little bit short.
