NATCHEZ— Services for Lillie Mae Johnson, 68, of Natchez, who died Thursday, March 21, 2019, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Pilgrim Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home’s Natchez chapel and from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Ms. Johnson was born April 10, 1950, in Liberty, the daughter of James and Lillie Bell Cockeran.
She was a member of Christ Temple Apostolic Church and Bibleway Pentecostal Faith.
Johnson was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Annie Mae Gilmore, Annie Lee Cockeran and Julia Mae Cockeran; one brother, George Cole; and one brother-in-law, Doyne Ratliff.
Survivors include a devoted son, Willie Johnson; four daughters, Imogene Cockeran, Victoria Johnson, Natasha Martin and Myoshia Johnson; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, James Cockeran and John T. Cockeran; five sisters, Rose Smith, Johnnie Mae Ratliff, Lena Broome, Georgia M. Cole and Ernestine Cole; four aunts, Virgie Mae Applewhite, Catherine Applewhite, Ola Mae Applewhite and Joe B. Applewhite; special cousins, David Irving and wife, Liz, and Stanley Dixon and wife, Regina; and a number of the family and friends.
