SPECIAL TO THE DEMOCRAT
VIDALIA — State Representative Andy Anders today announced his candidacy for Concordia Parish Clerk of Court. The election date is October 12.
Anders, currently the longest serving member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, has represented District 21 for thirteen years.
“I believe I can best serve the people of Concordia Parish by continuing my public service as the Clerk of Court. I believe that my background in business and experience in public office, give me the experience to best serve the people of our community,” said Anders. “As a legislator, I have had the opportunity to work alongside the Louisiana Clerk of Court Association and I have served on and chaired committees that greatly impacted the citizens of Concordia Parish. I will entrust to the Clerk’s office the same diligence and dedication that I did to the House of Representatives and the people of Concordia Parish.”
Anders, a lifelong resident of Concordia Parish and a graduate of Louisiana Tech University, is married to Nancy Ratcliff Anders. They have three daughters and seven grandchildren. He is a member of the Rotary Club, has served on our local Farm Service Agency County Committee and, for 32 years, continues to serve on the Soil and Water Conservation District Committee. Nancy and he attend St. Patrick Church in Ferriday.
“A favorite part of my being a representative was having personal contacts with my constituents and solving issues. I ask for your support as I look to continue my service as your Clerk of Court,” concluded Anders.
