FERRIDAY— Services for Shelia Louise Green, 53, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Rapides Regional Hospital in Alexandria, La., will be 10 a.m. today at Sixth Street Church of God in Christ in Ferriday with the Rev. Joe Ellis officiating.
Burial, with military honors, will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Ms. Green was born Aug. 27, 1965, in Ferriday, the daughter of Willie and Bernice King Green.
She served her country in the U.S. Navy, earning an honorable discharge.
Shelia was a faithful and devoted member of the Sixth Street Church of God in Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Kenneth Green and Rufus Elmore.
Survivors include one daughter, Courtney Green of Ferriday; four sisters, Faye King and Florida Miller, both of Ferriday, Cynthia Green of Lake Charles, La., and Linda Mazique of Natchez; five brothers, Larry Green and Kitress Williams, both of Ferriday, Earl Green of Orlando, Fla., Henry Oliver Green and wife, Amanda, of California and Ronnie Elmore and wife, Sharon, of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
