NATCHEZ — A Celebration of life for Barbara Mae Cavin, 91, of Natchez who died July 12, 2019, at her daughter’s home in Booneville, Miss., will be 4 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2019, at Highway 61 South Church of Christ with Paul McElroy and Tommy Baragona officiating.

Burial will follow at Woodville Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. until service time at the church.

Mrs. Cavin was born July 22, 1927, in Natchez, the daughter of Edward L. Frost and Lottie Black Frost. She graduated from Natchez High School with honors in 1945. She was employed at Feltus Brothers Hardware for eight years and worked as Office Manager for J. Gould Gardner, Pepsi Cola Bottling and J. Gould Gardner and Associates for 28 years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nolan Clyde Cavin, her parents, her brother Edward (Sonny) Frost and sister, Carolyn (Frostie) Mitcham Pizzolato.

She is survived by one daughter, Lynn Cavin Baragona and her husband, Thomas Baragona of Boonville, and one son, Clyde Nolan Cavin and his wife Ann McNees Cavin of Natchez. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Michelle Baragona and Owen Sparks of Booneville, Scott Baragona and wife Sara of Huntsville, Ala., Landon Cavin Ruston Cavin and wife Stephanie, and Kalyn Cavin McElroy and husband Jordan, all of Natchez; six great-grandchildren, Ashley Baragona, Zachary Baragona, Madison Baragona, Catcher Cavin, Annalise Sparks, Anna Dearing Cavin, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearer will be her grandsons and Butch Chidester, Connor Webb, Glenn Smith and Frank Patti.
