Graveside services for Mr. Joel E. Street of Natchez will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2019, at Crowville Masonic Cemetery near Crowville with Rev. Marion Collier officiating. Interment followed at the cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Winnsboro, Louisiana.

Mr. Street was born Feb. 13, 1938, in Leesville, Louisiana, and passed from this life on Sept. 6, 2019, in Natchez, at the age of 81.

Joel graduated from Crowville High School in 1956 as Salutatorian.  He also attended Northeast Louisiana University and graduated in 1960 with a degree in Geology.  He entered the service in 1960 at Fort Sill, OK and while there he served as HQ Battery Commander for the 34^thArtillery BDE.  He married his wife, Elizabeth Lee Street on August 9, 1961. He was an engineer for Dresser Atlas in New Orleans for 30 years and retired in 1991. He worked for Hixon Hopkins in Monroe, LA as a used car salesman from 1991 to 1997, and retired from Ford Lincoln Mercury in 2004.

He is preceded in death by his parents, E.J. Street and Inez Harper Street;

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth L. Street; one son, Mark D. Street of Natchez, MS; one daughter, Lynda K. Street of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and two brothers, James H. Street and wife, Sue of Winnsboro and William C. Street and wife, Georgia of Monroe; sister, Elizabeth Hatten and husband, Charlie of Monroe; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
