FERRIDAY — Ferriday police officers were investigating the shooting deaths of a man and a woman Wednesday evening.

Ferriday Police Department Investigator Richard Madison said police officers were called to 107 Johnson Street in Ferriday on Wednesday afternoon.

“A black male and female were found,” Madison said. “Both subjects were deceased upon arrival.”

Madison said both victims were in their 20s and were killed by gunshot wounds.

Madison said he could not release the identities of the victims until the next of kin had been notified.

“The case is still under investigation,” Madison said. “I cannot provide any other information.”
