NATCHEZ — Services for Alfred Green Sr., 88, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019, in Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Christian Hope Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. John Scott Jr. officiating. 
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mr. Green was born May 29, 1931, in Lessley, the son of Willie Green Sr. and Emma Hunter Green.
He was a graduate of Natchez College. After 47 years of service, he retired from International Paper Company.  Mr. Green served as a deacon at Mount Zion Baptist Church and also was a Worshipful Grand Master H.R. Revel No. 3 F&AM Lodge.  He also had memberships with NAACP and the Masons. Alfred enjoyed singing, fixing things and going to church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; nine brothers, Herbert, Willie, Eddie, Cleveland, Jessie, Nathaniel, Fleming, Freddie and Leonard; six sisters, Virginia, Hattie, Emma, Ethel, Susie and Lepora.
Survivors include three sons, Larry B. Green, Alfred Green Jr., and Reginald Payne; two daughters, Judy Green and Brenda Stewart; and other relatives and friends.
