Mrs. Griffin’s passions included cooking, sewing and gardening.  She made numerous costumes for the Historic Natchez Pageant.  Her family remembers her sitting up until after midnight working on her latest sewing project.  She enjoyed cooking for her family and anyone else who happened to drop by.  She was well known for her chocolate pies with the mile-high meringue.  She was a social butterfly and the epitome of your true Southern Belle.  “To know her, was to love her.”

Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Julius H. Griffin.

Survivors include her daughters, Judy Strickland and husband Al of Natchez; Peggy Ballard and husband Jim of Natchez; grandchildren Sara Delaney; Clay Strickland and wife Melissa; and Whitney Bradford and husband Cole; and great-grandchildren Madison Delaney, Graceyn Strickland, and Hayes Bradford.
