FERRIDAY— Services for Johnny Wilson, 69, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019, in Alexandria, Louisiana, will be 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 2 at Ferriday First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Ledford, the Rev. Eddie Schiele, the Rev. Joe Harris and the Rev. Josh Morea officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Johnny Wilson was born Feb. 11, 1950, in Ferriday, the son of James and Mary Wilson.

Johnny served his country in the U.S. Army during the Desert Storm and retired after 20 years. He also served the community as a police officer in Catahoula and Concordia Parish for about 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James William Wilson, Sr.
Johnny leaves behind his wife, Kathy Davis Wilson; two daughters, Renee Cooley and husband, David, of Vidalia, and Steffi Kuhlein and fiancé, Christian Spicker of Regensburg, Germany; one son, Johnathan Wilson of Clayton; step-son, Travis Williams of Ferriday; step-daughter, Catrina Williams of Pineville, Louisiana; one brother, Roy Eugene Wilson and wife, Dorothy, of Vidalia; two sisters, Mary Leteff of Baton Rouge and Sue Barlow and husband, Bennie, of Ferriday; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; beloved mother-in-law, Elizabeth M. Davis; two foster sons, LaKendrick and LaFrederick Quinn; and a number of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Karl Davis, Ronald Davis, Danny Brown, Johnny O. Wilson Jr., Daniel Cross and Shannon Wilson.
