VIDALIA — A Vidalia man was arrested Wednesday and faces 14 counts of possession of child pornography and seven counts of sexual abuse of animals.
A statement released by the office of Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry on Thursday states that Jeffery White, 61, of Concordia Park Drive was arrested for possession of pornography involving a juvenile under 13 years old and for filming, distributing or possessing pornographic images of a person engaged in sexual abuse of an animal.
White was booked in to the Concordia Parish Correctional Center on Wednesday.
The arrest was a result of a joint investigation with Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit, Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Department of Homeland Security Investigations and the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office, the statement said.
Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy David Hedrick said Thursday that the investigation is ongoing and has been turned over to the attorney general’s office.
