Natchez – Funeral services for Rufus Fitzgerald, 89, of Natchez, who died Friday, Feb. 7, 2020, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Anthony Colenburg, officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Son’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Robert D. Mackel and Son’s Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. to service time Friday, at the church.

Survivors include two daughters, Paula Gaylor of Natchez and Alisa Minor and husband, James of Grayson, GA; one sister Claudia M. Washington of Diamond Bar, Calif.; six grandchildren, Kevin Gaylor of Clinton, Danielle Gaylor and Adrian Gaylor of Natchez, Ashley Gaylor of Huntsville, AL, Christopher Minor and wife, Jessica and Jamesila Minor of Lawrenceville, GA; five great-grandchildren, Ziah Gaylor and Finley Gaylor of Natchez, Finley Minor and Ashton Minor of Lawrenceville, and Nathan Williams of Douglasville, GA; three sisters-in-law, Janie King, Alma Fleming and Sylvia Washington of Natchez and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
