Natchez — Funeral services for Garnett “Mickey” Green, 56, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Pastor Douglas Logan officiating.

Burial will follow in Rounds Family Cemetery in Sibley under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 5:30 p.m. today with a “Celebration of Life” wake service at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will continue at noon until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Green was born June 29, 1963, in Natchez, the son of Eddie Green and Bertha Washington Green. He was educated in the Natchez-Adams Public School District and was self-employed in construction. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. He enjoyed cooking, especially barbecuing, and watching his favorite football team, the San Francisco 49ers.

Garnett leaves to cherish his memories his mother; two brothers, Clarence Green of Dallas, Texas, and Michael Green and wife, Jennifer, of Jackson, Mississippi; one sister, Lola Green Woods of Natchez; one uncle, Elijah Washington Sr. and wife, Lucinda, of Chicago, Illinois; one aunt, Dorothy Thompson of Sibley; three nieces, six nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
