NATCHEZ — Chester Rogers, 67, passed away March 18, 2020, at Merit Health in Natchez after continuous care at Natchez Rehabilitation and Healthcare.

Born Jan. 7, 1953, he was a 1971 graduate of North Natchez High School.

He was a jolly person who loved to mingle with the neighborhood friends. He was well-liked.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Zettie Mae Brown; stepfather, Willie A. Brown; brother, Author Lee Wilson; and daughter, Tonya Blanton.

Survivors include his devoted sister, Josie Rogers Houston and her husband, Robert; Patricia Brown Miller and her husband, Robert; brother Willie Brown Jr. and his wife, Debra; nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts.

There will not be a service, only a private memorial with family.

The family extends thanks to the staff at Natchez Healthcare for the kind and respectful care shown to Chester, all those who have called and sent kindness and sympathy and to Webb/Winfield Funeral Home.
