Mississippi has 2 more COVID-19 deaths, including one from Wilkinson County

The Mississippi State Department of Health reported two new deaths from coronavirus (COVID-19) in Mississippi on Wednesday night, including one in Wilkinson County.

The case in Wilkinson County was a male 85-90 years old with underlying conditions who died while hospitalized, and another death from Tunica County was a female 75-80 who died in a long-term care facility.

Earlier in the day Wednesday, the MSDH reported two deaths, one in Holmes and one in Webster County, bringing Mississippi’ total death count for COVID-19 to five.

A death had also been reported in Hancock County.MSDH strives to update new case counts at 10 a.m. each day.
