FERRIDAY — Graveside services for Brant Barnett, 93 of Ferriday, LA will be held at New Prospect Baptist Chruch Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS on Thursday, June 11, 2020, at 2:00 PM under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Brant Barnett was born on Sunday, January 9, 1927, in Norphlett, AR. and passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020, at his residence. He was a resident of Ferriday and a member of Ferriday First Baptist Church.

Brant proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during WWII.

He is preceded in death by his father, Homer Barnett; mother, Jesse Williams Barnett; wife, Gwen Venable Barnett; brother, Lane Barnett; one granddaughter, Candace Elissa Forman.

He is survived by one daughter, Angie Baldridge of Denham Springs, LA; son, Gene Barnett of Conroe, TX; brother, Hardy Barnett and his wife Georgia of Denham Springs, LA; sister-in-law- Jean Barnett of Atlanta, GA; granddaughters, Monica Hodges of Denham Springs, LA, Rachelle Thinnes and her husband Terry of Georgetown, KY, Kim Forman and her husband Jeff Holt of Waynesville, NC, Amy Syptak and her husband Jim of East Bernard, TX; six great-grandchildren, Teddy, Kaitlyn, Morgan, Mason, Marli, Brandon, Kevin and Graci.

He is also survived by 9 great-great-grandchildren.
