Softball Round Up: Two out of five games end in one-run victories

NATCHEZ — Five games in the Natchez-Adams Girls Softball Complex took place last Friday afternoon at the Natchez-Adams Girls Softball Complex, with two of them ending in one-run victories.

Two 18-and-under age division games took place on Field A. In the first game, Reagan Diesel held on for a 7-6 win over Eagle Electric. Brooke Collier was the winning pitcher and Jaidyn Flowers took the loss. Georgia Martin went 2-for-3 and Kaylin Temples hit a double to lead Reagan Diesel at the plate. Kristen Jones hit a double for Eagle Electric.

In the nightcap, Alexander Body Shop defeated Super Auto Glass 10-4. Amberly Wallace picked up the win on the mound for Alexander Body Shop while Amanda Maples was charged with the loss for Super Auto Glass.

Wallace helper her own cause by going 2-for-2 with two doubles. Taylor Magee was 2-for-2 with a triple, Sayde Scott was 2-for-2 with a double, and Whitney Ballard hit a double for Alexander Body Shop. Destiny Idom hit a triple to lead Super Auto Glass at the plate.

A pair of 11-and-under division games occurred on Field B.

Natchez Market edged past Merit Health 8-7. Sophia Carter supplied the biggest hits of the game for Natchez Market with two home runs in her two at-bats while winning pitcher Madison Greene went 2-for-2 with a double. Marlee Butler was the losing pitcher.

In the second game, Stewart Realty defeated State Farm 8-5. Revin Tomecko was the winning pitcher and Kessley Maples was the losing pitcher. Despite this being a high-scoring game, there were no extra-base hits and no multiple hitters.

In 8-and-under action on Field C, Sports Center rolled to a 9-1 win over Concordia Bank. Bella Kate Barlow hit a home run and Mariella Atkins hit a double for Sports Center.
