PUCKETT (AP) — Authorities are investigating what caused a house fire that left a man dead and his wife injured east of Jackson.

The fire broke out Friday night at the home in Rankin County, media outlets reported.

Harold Harris, 67, died in the fire, the county coroner said.

His wife, whose name wasn’t released, managed to escape and survived.
