Dr. Cotter returns to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Natchez

NATCHEZ, Miss. –  Radiation oncologist Gregory Cotter, MD, has returned to the Cancer Center in Natchez and is currently accepting patients, officials announced Monday.

In 2019, Dr. Cotter led the organization’s clinical team at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Natchez. With his depth of experience and expertise, and through the dedication and compassion he demonstrates when working with patients, Cotter developed a strong bond with the community. He is excited to return and provide high-level cancer care.

“It is great to be back working with my colleagues at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Natchez,” said Cotter. “Mary Bird Perkins is making a real difference in this community – it’s a place we are passionate about serving. I’m excited to rejoin the team as we continue the Cancer Center’s mission to improve survivorship and lessen the burden of cancer for patients, family members, friends and neighbors here in southwest Mississippi.”

Cotter has decades of experience and has served patients in several communities across the Gulf South. After completing his undergraduate studies and internship at the University of Alabama, Cotter received his medical degree from the University of South Alabama’s College of Medicine. He completed his residency at Washington University in St. Louis.

He is Board Certified in radiation oncology and a member of the American Medical Society, American College of Radiology, the American College of Radiation Oncology and the American Society for Radiation Oncology.

Located at 133 Jefferson Davis Blvd., Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Natchez offers residents access to leading-edge radiation therapy and support services. This state-of-the-art facility was recently renovated and now offers new aesthetic elements to provide a more relaxing and healing environment for patients.
